Welcome back from Spring Break! It's hard to believe we only have 6 weks of school left! We welcome some new additions to our class. Welcome to Miss Beth Edmonds, our new teacher assistant, and to Samantha White, who joins us from Havelock Elementary School. The kids have worked hard this year and we still have lots to do and learn. The kids are finishing up with sight words as spelling words these next few weeks. Please continue to help your child keep up with his/her nightly reading. Remember to ask them questions about what they read in order to prepare them to write responses in class the next day. Please continue sight word practice. Thanks for all you do to guide your child! We are very proud of all students! The students will be completing their end of year math, reading and writing assessments during the next three weeks. Please be sure your child gets enough rest and is at school on time each day to do their best. We had lots of fun at our field trip to MacDaddy's an Golfin' Dolphin last week! The kids realized how much or how little force was needed to move the golf balls while playing mini golf and how much force and direction of the force was needed when bowling! The weather was beautiful and we had a terrific day! We are now busy studying the needs of plants and soon to be exploring soil, rocks, and fossils in science. We'll be doing some fun soil and rock experiments. Gator Fest, our spring carnival, is coming up on Friday, June 2! We'll let you know more details as we get them! Thanks for your continued support and for an awesome school year!
